I think in ’96 Kammerlander did it Solo and in alpine style also no o2..he set the record time base to base under 24 hours from the more difficult side that stood pretty long time…no gimmicks no rockered skis no drones (which is quite the help and for me a factor even like using o2 or sherpas help!) , no redbull bs…for 1996 this was really like a moonlanding…more sporty even though not every meter got skied it was the more wow feat…Kammerlander was my boss’ (im herding Reinhold’s Yaks in south tirol in wintertime) best rope partner for many years….without him messner would not have been able to summit lots of his 8000ers!!! Prime Kammerlander was rhe best Alpinist ever and even more versatile than messner et.al. (ski descends!)
